The Bluewater Dog Collar is designed with a strong webbing core and SiLeather® exterior making it water resistant, odor resistant, and safe from the elements. The hardware is made from a rust-resistant anodized aluminum, which is strong and lightweight so you can use it for a long time. That said, all products need to be cared for and rinsed in fresh water after exposure to the elements and marine environments.
Hand wash with mild soap and warm water. If needed, you can use bleach with water using a (1:4) ratio. Remember to always rinse the collar with fresh water after being in a marine environment and lay or hang to dry.
To measure collar size, use a soft tape measure and measure directly above the widest part of your dog’s neck (for most dogs this will be nearest their shoulders).Place two fingers perpendicularly between your dog's neck and the tape measure to ensure a comfortable fit.
Marine grade refers to a product's ability to withstand elements associated with marine environments, such as water, strong winds, rough contact and saltwater corrosion.
