We got this bed specifically for our two eleven and a half year old golden retrievers and they absolutely love it! Large is the perfect size (for reference they weigh about 75 pounds each) and the cover fits the bed perfectly.
They love it so much I might just have to get a second one so they can both have one :)

Both our 68-lb & 80-lb labs seem to rest more deeply on their new beds. The older lab doesn't limp upon awakening as she's been doing recently. They were sleeping so soundly on the beds in our living room last evening, they didn't follow me to the bedroom as they have always done for the past 7 years.
We have both the cooling cover for our Texas summers & the towel covers for a few wet seasons. As a seamstress, I appreciate how well-made these are. I also provide an 9" deep jersey crib mattress sheet to capture some of the shed hair & make cleaning up a bit easier. It fit really well over the cooling cover. (One of my labs sheds enough each week to fill a small vacuum cleaner bag!)
The beds arrived in perfect condition and, like the covers, are well-made. They expanded instantly just like in the videos on their website. Thank you for such a great product!

Purchased a bed for our five-month-old Lab and had the hardest time trying to determine which company actually made the best dog beds. There are so many fake reviews these days. I stumbled across this company while researching and decided to purchase our first bed.
It arrived today, and honestly, it looks like a bed I want to sleep in myself. I love the colors, the quality, and the fact that everything is washable or has a water-resistant slipcover. I also love that you can repurchase covers if you ever need a replacement.

I bought the bouclé bolster bed, but my (picky) senior boy wasn't a fan—until I put this super soft cover on it. Now in a sea of beds, this is the one he sleeps in at night and goes back to during the day. Highly recommend.

I researched beds prior to purchasing and I was skeptical paying this much through the web. The bed arrived and our dogs LOVE it. It's got much more "stoutness" and padding which is very important for our older guy with arthritis. Absolutely, 100% buying another one!

I looked for ages for a specific orthopedic bed for my Red fox Labrador and I am delighted with this purchase. It feels very good quality and I am loving the fact that it’s beneficial to my dog’s joints and bones. Mabel slept in it immediately and she looks extremely comfortable in it. I previously had a Big Barker and my dogs didnt like to lay on it because it was so hard. I didnt like that it didnt have a waterproof cover over the foam. The Bluewater bed is softer while also still holding shape with a waterproof cover. The girls can still use it to spy on the neighbors but like to lay on it as well! Shipping was fast as well!

Let me start out by saying I don’t care that this was an expensive purchase for my dog. I wanted him to be comfortable. But, he hates the bed… the one I can’t return. He won’t even stay on it at all and slept on the floor next to it. It’s made very well but not for my dog. So it’s an expensive lesson

One thing we’ve learned over the years is that some dogs adjust to a new bed right away, while others can take days—or even a few weeks—especially if they’re creatures of habit. We often recommend placing a favorite blanket, toy, or something with a familiar scent on the bed to help ease the transition.

Not sure I will purchase a different kind of bed. I have been buying these beds for a few years now. I have 3. Play hold up very well and I love how they’re made.

The bouclé dog bed is stylish and comfortable! I love the quick dry cover I purchased too. I wish, however, there was another size in between the L and XL because a L is a tad small for an adult Bernese mountain dog and the XL is honestly too big (I purchased the XL). It fits me (5’7’’ tall) and my pup comfortably!

My doodle loves her new bed. The bolstered sides are a must. I accidentally ordered the wrong color, but their customer service was extremely responsive and caught the mistake before shipping out. Cover is just as described. Shipped promptly. Washed beautifully. When dry, put the cover on our dog's bed and the dog, with her double coat, literally rolled around on it and was sooo happy!! You can feel the cooling of this cover. Very happy with the purchase!

Well she laid it once and now hates it. She would rather lay on the hard floor. I’ve bought two covers to see if she likes that better, Nope. It’s very hard and I think that’s why she doesn’t like it. Spent almost $500 and my lab hates it.

Our 90 pound 18 month old golden retriever hopped into the bed as soon as we set it up! He loves resting his head on the bolster and then curling up comfortably for a snooze. Great choice.

The positives: The bed is visually appealing and offers a high-end look at a much more competitive price point than alternatives like the Barney Bed. The Barney bed is more than twice the cost after adding the boucle cover.
The not so positives: The bed is stiff and makes a loud "crunching" sound whenever it is stepped on, similar to Rice Krispies popping. I have an anxious rescue dog, and after a month, he remains hesitant to use it. To make the bed more comfortable and dampen the sound, I’ve had to cover it with multiple sherpa blankets, which unfortunately defeats the purpose of the bed’s aesthetic. I purchased the large boucle orthopedic bed for our 62 pound dog, but should have opted for the medium.
While I considered a return, the 25% restocking fee combined with return shipping costs makes it a deterrent. Will be reluctantly keeping it.
After contacting customer support and receiving a replacement liner, the "crunching" sound has dampened significantly. Combined with one of the the Bluewater Dog Bed Covers, our dog has begun using the bed more regularly and seems to enjoy despite his initial hesitations.
